Some experiments for your kitchen - a little pouring bowl with built in grater. Grate your garlic and add oil etc to make salad dressing and pour direct from the bowl. You can also grate ginger on them - mix garlic, ginger, soy etc to make a sauce for your stir fry and pour directly to your pan.
Thrown on the potters wheel from speckled stoneware clay. I add the grating texture to the wet clay on the wheel. Finished with a transparent glaze.
